Club History Was Western Australia's first lacrosse club, formed in July 1896 following a meeting at the United Service Hotel in Perth. Soon after a successful application was made to use the Perth Esplanade for practice and matches. Perth was very successful in the early 1900's winning many A grade premierships and runners-up several times. Following the recess due to WW1 the club gradually rebuilt, with a number of its members being the mainstays of WALA, among them, G. Clarke, Russ Page, Harry Wood and Ike Taylor. Ike Taylor was Perth's club secretary before serving WALA for more than 30 years, after which he became the secretary to ALC in 1929 when it was formed. While the club's membership was approximately 50 in 1959 it disbanded in 1971. The decline and ultimate demise was apparently due to the urban sprawl in Perth with young families moving further out into the suburbs. By 1970 the club only had a senior A grade team and numbers reduced significantly in 1971 to the point where they could no longer field a team and the club was disbanded at the end of the 1971 season.
